Troubleshoot log In Issues with 7punches

If you are unable to log into the 7punches app, outdated software or saved login credentials may be causing the error. Verifying your app version and clearing local device data resolves most login failures.

Issue

The 7punches app displays an error message immediately upon opening, or fields do not allow credential entry.

Cause

When the email and password fields do not appear, the 7punches app is holding onto a saved login configuration. If your password or email was recently modified, the app will continuously fail to authenticate the outdated credentials.

What to do

First, confirm that your app is updated to the latest version. Follow the links below to check your respective app store:

If your app is updated and you still cannot see the login fields, clear the cached data based on your device type.

If you are using an iOS device, follow these steps:

  1. Close the 7punches app.
  2. Navigate to your device Settings.
  3. Select General, then select iPhone Storage.
  4. Select 7shifts or 7punches.
  5. Tap Offload App, then tap Reinstall App.

If you are using an Android device, follow these steps:

  1. Close the 7punches app.
  2. Navigate to your device Settings.
  3. Select Apps, then select 7shifts or 7punches.
  4. Select Storage, then tap Clear Data and Clear Cache.
  5. Open the 7punches app, enter your new email and password, and select Login.
