Revert or Clear Your Schedule's Shifts

Need to revert to a previously published schedule or clear all shifts from the schedule? This article will guide you through the steps to use the Revert and Clear tools in 7shifts.

Prerequisites

⚠️ Managers/Assistant Managers require permission Can manage schedules, and can only access schedules for the Locations/Departments they are assigned to.

⚠️ To Clear/Revert a schedule, Managers/Assistant Managers require permission: Can delete schedules.


Here's how you can revert/clear from the schedule:

  1. Log into the web app as an Admin/Manager with permissions.

  2. In the left navigation bar, head to Schedule.

  3. Use the filters to change the date range, location, or department.

  4. Under the Tools icon, you'll find the Revert and Clear schedule functions. These will affect all Departments visible at the time:

     

  5. Revert Schedule allows you to bring back the previously published version of the schedule.

    ⚠️ Revert can only restore the last published version. If there were unsaved edits in draft mode, those changes may be lost.
  6. Clear Schedule allows you to remove all shifts from the schedule for the selected date range, location, or department.

    ⚠️ This action cannot be undone. Ensure that you want to clear the schedule before proceeding.
  7. Once you've finalized your schedule, click Publish Changes to ensure the new schedule is updated for your team.
