Reopen a Timesheet

Once a timesheet is closed in 7shifts, the labor data for that pay period is locked, preventing further edits to the punches. Admin and Manager/Assistant Manager users with permissions can reopen the timesheet if updates are needed. Reopening a location timesheet effectively reopens the pay period. However, only open timesheets can be adjusted further.

⚠️Timesheets can be reopened by Manager/Assistant Manager users assigned to that location, with permissions: 'Can manage time punches', 'Can close timesheets', and 'Can reopen timesheets'.

To Reopen a Timesheet:

  1. Log into the web app as an Admin or a Manager/Assistant Manager with permissions.
  2. Navigate to Time Clocking from the side navigation bar, click Review next to the pay period.

  3. Select the Location from the drop-down menu:

  4. Select Reopen location timesheet:

  5. Confirm that you would like to reopen this timesheet. Please note that this timesheet may have already been exported and processed for payroll. And, any edits made will not reflect in your payroll unless the timesheet is exported and processed again:

  6. All set! The timesheet is now open for users (assigned to that location, with permissions) to access and edit.
