View Your Pay stub with 7shifts Payroll
This article explains how to download and understand your pay stubs if your employer uses 7shifts Payroll. You can view your pay stubs using either the 7shifts web app or the mobile app.
⚠️ Important Considerations:
- 7shifts Payroll Only: You can only access pay stubs through 7shifts if your employer uses 7shifts Payroll. If they use a different payroll system, your pay stubs will be provided by that system.
- Pay Management/pay stubs Tab Missing: If you don't see the "Pay Management" or "pay stubs" tab, your employer likely uses a different payroll provider. Contact your employer to confirm their payroll provider.
- Deactivated Users: If your 7shifts account is deactivated (e.g., you are no longer employed), you can only access your historical pay stubs through the 7shifts mobile app.

Understand Your 7shifts Pay Stub
Your pay stub includes important details about your earnings, taxes, and any reimbursements or deductions. This guide breaks down the most common line items you may see and where those numbers are coming from.
Gross Earnings
These are your total earning before taxes or deductions. Each line shows how you were paid and for how many hours.
Where these numbers come from:
Hours and pay rates are pulled from your time punches, schedule, or added by your employer when processing payroll. Tip data is typically pulled in from your POS system, if integrated.
Salaried employees may see a calculated hourly rate on their pay stub. This rate is determined by dividing the total pay for the period by the number of hours reported.
| Item | What it means |
|---|---|
| Regular Hours | Your base pay for standard hours worked. |
| Overtime | Hours worked beyond 40 in a week, usually paid at 1.5× your regular rate. |
| Paid Time Off (PTO) | Paid vacation hours you've used. |
| Sick Pay | Paid sick time taken. |
| Holiday Pay | Hours paid for holidays (whether worked or not, depending on your employer’s policy). |
| Paycheck Tips | Tips collected through your POS system and paid out via payroll. |
| Cash Tips | Tips paid to you directly and reported for tax purposes. |
Taxes Withheld
This section shows taxes that were taken out of your paycheck.
Where these numbers come from:
The taxes withheld depend on your location, filings status, and any exemptions you've claimed.
| Item | What it means |
|---|---|
| Federal Taxes (FICA & Medicare) | Required contributions to Social Security and Medicare. |
| State/Local Taxes | Withholding based on your work location and state tax laws. |
Reimbursements
Reimbursements are non-taxable amounts paid back to you for work-related expenses (like mileage or supplies).
| Item | What it means |
|---|---|
| Reimbursement | A repayment for a submitted expense. |
| Total – Other Reimbursements | Sum of all reimbursed items in the pay period. |
