Is a FICA Credit Report available with 7shifts Payroll?

No. At this time, 7shifts Payroll does not offer a built-in FICA Tip Report. To calculate and claim FICA tip credits, you must work with an accounting professional to perform the necessary calculations using the reporting available in the 7shifts account.
Note: 7shifts Payroll reporting breaks down taxes by type (Social Security, Medicare, Federal, State) but does not isolate the specific tax amounts related solely to tips.
What to do
To gather the information needed for your accounting professional to complete IRS Form 8846:
- Log into the 7shifts web app as an Admin.
- In the left navigation bar, head to Payroll.
- Select the Taxes tab to view and download tax filings.
- Alternatively, navigate to Reports to download Payroll Summary reports.
Your accountant can use these comprehensive payroll reports to accurately determine and claim any eligible FICA tip credits.
