Shout-outs

Celebrate success, and build a more connected team with Shout-outs (formerly known as Employee Kudos)! Shout-outs allow fellow teammates, regardless of their departments but sharing the same Location, to express appreciation and recognition in a dedicated Team Channel.

If you have a shift scheduled, the Shout-out button in the mobile app's messaging section prompts you to recognize your team members, remaining visible until the end of the day. Users can choose from five shout-outs or add a personalized touch:

Prerequisites

⚠️ Mobile app users need to update to the latest app version to send and view Shout-outs via Team Chat. iOS: 2023.51.0 (4059), Android: 2023.51.0 (40260)

⚠️ All user types can publicly participate (by commenting in threads, emoji reacting, and sending Shout-outs) in the Team Channel. Only Admins and Managers can send messages in the Team Channel.

⚠️ Shout-outs can only be sent by Employees with a scheduled shift.

⚠️ Shout-outs can be sent on the mobile app for the present day.

⚠️ It isn't possible to leave a team channel. However, you may wish to mute the notifications instead by headings to Settings > My Account > Notifications > disable Message posted.

Send a Shout-out

Use the tabs to choose your device type.

Follow these steps to send a Shout-out on an iOS device.

Log in to the mobile app.
Tap on the Messaging icon at the bottom of your screen:
Tap on Shift shout-outs or '+' .

If you received a Shout-out, we'll let you know here too!
Tap on a team member's name to whom you'll be sending a Shout-out. Only the names of those who have worked at your Location today will be listed:
Tap on the Type to change the Shout-out you'd like to send.

Choose between Team Player, Problem Solver, Going above and Beyond, Menu Master, or Positive Attitude.

Or, use the Message textbox to type your message.
When you're ready, tap Share with team > Share now :

Hold on a shout-out to emoji react, comment in a thread, copy, report, or delete a shout-out:

⚠️ Employees can only delete shout-outs that they've sent.

You can follow these steps to access Shout-outs on the web app.

⚠️ Shout-outs on the web app are view, react, and reply-only.

Log in to the web app.
Click on the chat bubble at the top right of your screen:
Whether you're viewing your messages from the Recents or All messages tab, click on Team Shout-outs specific to the Location:
