Answer Attestation questions using 7punches

When you clock out in 7punches, the 7shifts time clock app, your employer may ask you one or more attestation questions about your breaks or other compliance requirements. Answer each question based on what happened during your shift, because your responses become part of your team's compliance record.

Things to know

Important: Update 7punches to the latest version of 7punches for iOS or 7punches for Android before you clock out. An outdated app may not show all of your employer's attestation questions, and your manager's Attestation report shows "No response" for any you can't answer.

  • After you tap End Shift, your employer’s attestation questions appear. Tap Submit after the last question to officially clock out.
  • If your employer set up more than one attestation question, you answer them one at a time.
  • Some questions offer up to three response options. Read each option before you select one.
  • Tap the back arrow to return to a previous question and change your answer.
  • If you don’t tap anything for 30 seconds, a countdown appears on the Cancel button. If you still don’t respond after another 30 seconds, the clock out cancels and you stay clocked in. Tap End shift to start again.
  • You can't change your answers after you tap Submit, so check each response first.

Answer an attestation question

  1. Enter your Punch ID and select Sign In.
  2. Tap End shift.

  3. Select the response that matches your shift for each question.
    • If you select a negative response and your employer added a follow-up question, enter your answer. This field can't be left blank.
    • (Optional) If a policy link appears below the Cancel button, tap it to review the policy.

  4. Tap Next to move to the next question, or tap Submit to officially clock out if it's your last question.

Important: Wait until the Punched out confirmation pop-up appears before walking away to ensure your attestation answers were submitted and your punch went through successfully.

Note: Tap the back arrow to return to previous questions, or tap Cancel at any time to discard your answers and remain clocked in.

Choose your preferred language

To change the language of an attestation question, select the dropdown menu in the top-right corner. Questions default to English, while Spanish and French are available only if your employer has provided those translations.
