Why did my 7shifts subscription charge on an expired credit card?
An expired credit card doesn't automatically cancel your 7shifts subscription or stop future charges. If you've seen a charge go through on a card you thought was expired, this article explains why - and what you can do about it.
Most banks allow recurring subscription charges to go through on an expired card as long as the bank account itself is still open. In some cases, your payment processor may also update your card details automatically when your bank issues a replacement card, with no action needed from you. Because an expired card isn't considered a cancellation, active 7shifts subscriptions continue to bill on schedule.
Stop future charges
To stop future subscription charges, you'll need to take action directly in your 7shifts account. There are two options:
- Cancel your subscription: If you no longer need 7shifts, cancel your account in billing settings before your next payment date.
- Update your payment details: If you received a replacement card and want to keep your account active, update your credit card information in billing settings.
