Do salaried employees get overtime pay in ADP?

Yes. Overtime hours for salaried employees sync from 7shifts to ADP for tracking, but they don't trigger extra overtime pay in ADP.

When salaried employees punch in and out, their hours and overtime accumulate on the Worked Hours & Wages report in 7shifts. 7shifts syncs those punch hours to ADP for tracking. Because 7shifts doesn't send an hourly wage rate for salaried employees, ADP uses their fixed salary and doesn't calculate additional overtime pay.

Stop sending salaried employee hours to ADP

Admins can keep a salaried employee punching in and out in 7shifts for tracking, without sending any punch or overtime data to ADP, by setting the employee to Ignored in the ADP integration mapping.

  1. Log in to 7shifts as an Admin.
  2. Go to Integrations Mapping.
  3. Find the salaried employee and select Unmap.
  4. Change their status to Ignored.
Note: An employee set to Ignored in the 7shifts ADP mapping can still punch in and out in 7shifts for tracking. However, no labor data syncs to ADP for unmapped employees, so their salary details must be set up directly in ADP.
