Benefits Center

Benefits Center is a dedicated section in 7shifts where Admins can explore and connect health, retirement, and workers' compensation benefits for their teams.

Things to Know


Important: You must enable 7shifts Payroll before you can select, request quotes, or manage any employee benefits. 

  • Only users with the Admin role can see and access the Benefits Center.
  • All 7shifts accounts can browse the Benefits Center, even if 7shifts Payroll is not yet active.
  • Benefit deductions sync to 7shifts Payroll automatically once your benefit plan is active.
  • Benefit partner integrations handle your deductions, payroll taxes, and programs automatically in the background.

Access the Benefits Center


Admins can access the benefits dashboard directly from the main navigation menu.

  1. Log in to your 7shifts account.
  2. Select Benefits from the left navigation menu.

How to get started without 7shifts Payroll


If 7shifts Payroll is not enabled on your account, you can browse available partners but cannot select plans. A How to get started section will guide you to set up payroll first.

  1. Navigate to the Benefits section in your left navigation menu.
  2. Review the available benefit partners on the dashboard.
  3. Click Explore 7shifts Payroll to start your payroll setup.
  4. Complete your payroll registration so you can begin selecting employee benefits.

How to manage benefits with 7shifts Payroll active


If 7shifts Payroll is already enabled on your account, the How to manage Benefits section lets you manage active plans and request quotes directly.

  1. Navigate to the Benefits section in your left navigation menu.
  2. Review your benefit options and request quotes from partners like SimplyInsured, Vestwell, or NEXT Insurance.
  3. Click Manage Benefits for your EIN(s) to open the payroll benefits tab and configure your rates.
  4. Review your active policies under the benefits tab for each Employer Identification Number.
