How to download your Tax Receipt report

The Tax Receipt report summarizes your quarterly payroll tax activity, including payments, adjustments, and variances, to help 7shifts Payroll customers confirm that all taxes were processed correctly.

Important: While Check Technologies will begin generating these for Q1 2026, the option to download directly directly from your account wont be available till late Q2 2026.  If you would like access to this report for Q1 2026 activity, please reach out to the 7shifts support team for assistance. 

Things to Know


Important: You must have Admin permissions in 7shifts Payroll to access tax forms and reconciliation reports.

  • The Tax Receipt becomes available only after the Balancing payroll is approved at the end of the quarter.

Find the Tax Receipt


  1. Log in to the 7shifts web app as an Admin.
  2. Navigate to the Payroll › Taxes › Tax Forms.
  3. Select the specific quarter you want to review.
  4. Click the Tax Receipt to open your report.

Understand your Tax Receipt data


Use this report to confirm that all payroll tax payments and filings match your internal records. 

Tip: Share the Tax Receipt with your accountant if you notice discrepancies or receive a tax notice.

  • The report specifies which variances are fulfilled immediately and which were already paid to the agency and will be refunded after filing.
