Troubleshooting: "Communication Error" on the iPad App

Issue

The 7shifts iPad app displays the following message: "We are unable to load the app due to a communication error. Please try again later."


Cause

7shifts is phasing out updates for the dedicated iPad app as it nears retirement. Because the app is no longer receiving updates, it may encounter connection or loading errors on newer operating systems.


What to do

Note: To ensure a reliable experience, we recommend switching to the 7shifts web app on your tablet.

  1. Open Safari or your preferred web browser on your iPad.
  2. Navigate to the 7shifts login page (app.7shifts.com)
  3. Enter your email and password to log in.

Tip: To make access easier, you can add the login page to your iPad home screen for a "one-tap" experience.
