Set up the weather forecast on your schedule
7shifts pulls the weather forecast for your location's city into the Schedule, so you can plan how many employees to schedule on a sunny day versus a cold, rainy day.
Things To Know
Important: You must be an Admin to set up the Weather Forecast in 7shifts by adding a street address to your location.
- The Weather Forecast feature in 7shifts may require an upgrade from your current plan.
- The weather forecast for the following 16 days shows on the Schedule.
- The weather forecast updates every 3 hours, with a variance of 1-2 degrees.
- The weather forecast shows on the Schedule in the 7shifts web app and not on the Schedule in the mobile app.
- The weather forecast data is the day's high temperature from OpenWeather.
Add a location street address to show the weather forecast in 7shifts
Admins turn on the Weather Forecast in 7shifts by entering a street address for their location.
- As an Admin, go to Settings > Company Settings > Locations, Departments & Roles and select your location.
- Enter your street address and select Save.
- Go to the Schedules page. The weather forecast appears on the Schedule.
Where the weather forecast shows in 7shifts
The weather forecast also appears in the Manager Log Book when managers use the Log Book from the 7shifts web app. Employees also see the weather forecast directly on their 7shifts mobile dashboard.
