Offer up a shift to the Shift Pool

Need someone to cover your scheduled shift? The 7shifts Shift Pool lets you offer a scheduled shift to your coworkers when you need someone to cover it. Once your shift is in the pool, coworkers can bid on it and a Manager approves the swap.

Things to know

  • Your shift remains yours until a coworker bids on it and your Manager approves the swap. You'll receive a notification when that happens.
  • If your Manager edits the date or time of your offered shift and publishes the schedule, your shift is automatically removed from the Shift Pool. You'll get an in-app notification. If you still need cover, you can offer it up again:
  • If you change your mind, find the shift in your Schedule and tap or click Take back.
  • If your Admin has enabled partial shifts, you can offer up part of your shift instead of the full shift.
