Enable Employee Timesheet Earnings and Tip Report Access in 7shifts

For Admins & Managers

If you're using 7punches or a POS Labor integration, Employees are likely asking you for a way to see their worked hours and earnings. Follow the steps below to give them access to their timesheet and tip report.

Pro Tip! When encountering inaccuracies in your reported tip information, the issue is often related to the configuration of your Tip Calculation settings. To address this, review and modify your Tips to Payroll settings to ensure your formula is calculated according to your preferences.

Here's how to allow Employees to access their timesheets: 

    1. Login as the Admin and head over to Time Clocking > Settings:

    2. Enable the setting called Employee timesheet and earnings access.



    3. Once enabled, Employees will be able to view their timesheets on the 7shifts web and mobile app.

      Here's an example of what their timesheets will look like from the web app:

      Here's an example of what your employees will see on their mobile dashboard: estimated wages, shifts and hours worked.

       ⚠️The data displayed on your Employee's mobile app may vary depending on which features you have enabled and set for the Account (i.e. Employee Approval of Time Punches, Tip Pooling, POS tip data).



    4. (optional) Enable Employee tip report access:



      Once enabled, here's an example of what your employees may see on their mobile dashboard: estimated earnings, estimated wages, estimated tips, shifts scheduled, and hours scheduled.



      ⚠️The data displayed on your Employee's Tip Report may vary depending on which features you have enabled and set for the Account (i.e. Tip Pooling, POS tip data).

    5. If the feature is disabled, (or the Account does not have wages, time clocking or Actual Labor with an integration), Employees will only see values based on scheduled shifts. This includes estimated wages, shifts scheduled, and hours worked:

    6. (optional) Enable Employee approval of time punches. Click here to learn more about Employee Approval of Time Punches.

    7. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to complete these changes!
