To simplify wage changes, Admins and Managers have the flexibility to update the wages and salaries of employees for past or future dates.
Setting a wage / salary change for a future date
You can proactively enter a new wage or salary for an employee if the rate is to change on a future date.
Here's how:
1. Hover over the 'More' menu and select 'Employees.'
2. Select the specific Employee's profile to edit it and head to the 'Wages' tab where you'll see the Employee's current wage(s) or salary.
If setting a salary, select 'Weekly Salary' from the dropdown menu under 'Wage Type.'
3. Next to the wage / salary you would like to adjust, enter the new wage / salary and select the date this will take effect.
4. Be sure to click 'Save.'
On the chosen date, all new shifts created for this Role and employee will have the new wage / salary applied.
5. You can remove or edit the wage / salary change prior to the effective date by clicking the 'Garbage Can' or 'Pencil' icon.
Setting a wage / salary change in the past
If you have already created shifts for an employee before entering a wage / salary or forgot to set a new wage, you can use the Effective Wage Date function to change all shifts and punch wages up to one month in the past.
Here's how:
3. Next to the wage / salary you would like to adjust, enter the correct wage / salary and select the date this took effect.
3. Be sure to click 'Save.'
4. Navigate back to the Schedules or Time Clocking page to see the new wage / salary applied to the historical shifts.
