How to Enable Account-Wide Shift Pool

For 7shifts accounts with multiple Locations within a geographical area, Account-Wide Shift Pool is available. Enabling Account-Wide Shift Pool allows for:

  • Staff flexibility. Employees in any Role can view, bid, and work shifts at non-assigned Locations within an account
  • Short notice staffing. Quickly filling shifts on short notice

Prerequisites

⚠️ Admins can enable 7punches settings to allow users to clock in for a role they are not assigned to. While flexible with Account-Wide Shift Pool, note:
  • Unassigned roles will not have wages, recording labor hours as $0.
  • This may impact payroll accuracy, reporting, and tip calculations.

Enable Account-Wide Shift Pool 

    1. Log into the web app as an Admin.

    2. Head to Settings > Company Settings > Schedules.

    3. Under Offering Settings > select Account-wide.

    4. Click Save to complete these changes.

    5. You're all set! Shifts are now offered to all Locations and will be made available in the Shift Pool once published:
