Copying a Schedule
When you copy a schedule in 7shifts, it copies the entire schedule: the specific Employee, their assigned shifts, and any open shifts.You can copy a schedule to future weeks within the same Department.
⚠️ Managers and Assistant Managers require permission: 'Can manage schedules'.
To quickly copy a Schedule over to future weeks:
- Log in to the mobile app.
- Tap on the calendar icon
on the bottom navigation bar.
Tap the Copy icon at the top right of the screen:
- You'll be prompted to choose the department and week that you want to copy from.
- (optional) Select labor targets and/or shift notes.
Tap Copy schedule to create a draft schedule for your selected week.
- Log in to the web app as an Admin or Managers with permissions.
- When viewing the Schedule you want to copy, click on the Copy icon on the right-hand side.
Select Copy to:
- Select which week you want to copy the current schedule into. You can create this copy in the selected Schedule and up to 3 weeks following that week.
There is also the option to copy over the same labor targets and shift notes:
- Once you click Copy Schedule, a draft schedule will be created for the week(s) you selected in the step above.
You'll then be able to see if there are any scheduling conflicts that you may need to address before publishing the Schedule:
