Why your W-2c might not show wage data.

Answer

W-2cs are only used to show changes. That means:

• Only the fields that are being corrected will appear.
• If you're not changing a specific wage or tax value, it won’t be included on the W-2c.
• The original W-2 still holds the full wage and tax data you’ll need for filing.

The only exception is if you’re updating Medicare Qualified Employment (MQE) values—this may require additional fields to be included.

If you’re filing your taxes, be sure to reference both your original W-2 and the W-2c together for complete information.
