Christmas 2024: Payroll Timeline Adjustments

Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, is a Federal Reserve banking holiday. On this date, no money movement will occur, which will impact payroll timelines for 7shifts Payroll customers. Please review the updated payroll processing timelines below.

⚠️ Note on Payment Timing: During holiday weeks, payments may arrive later in the afternoon on payday. Be prepared to reassure employees accustomed to morning deposits that payments will still be made on the scheduled payday.

⚠️ Missed the Deadline?
If you miss your approval deadline, 3-day processors should plan to play employees through an in-house check or direct payment to the employee facilitated by your company.

⚠️ Missed the Deadline?
If you miss your payroll approval deadline, 2-day processors can opt for Next-Day Pay. To use this option, payroll must be submitted by 5PM ET on the day before the adjusted payday. Please note that an additional fee applies for using Next-Day Pay.

If the Next-Day Pay deadline is also missed, you will need to pay employees using in-house checks or direct payments facilitated by your company.
