Accessing Employee Banking Details in 7shifts

This article explains how to view employee payment and banking details stored within 7shifts, specifically those captured through the Employee Onboarding process or 7shifts Payroll.

Prerequisites

⚠️ Employee banking details are recorded through Employee Onboarding (where Payment Method has been enabled for the package) or with 7shifts Payroll

⚠️ Managers/Assistant Managers must have the following permissions to access these details: 'Can edit employees', 'Can manage employee documents', 'Can manage and pay for Employee Onboarding.'


Viewing Detailed Banking Information

To access comprehensive employee payment and banking details:

  1. Log in to the web app as an Admin or Manager/Assistant Manager with the necessary permissions.
  2. Navigate to Team > Onboarding.
  3. Select the 'In-progress' or 'Completed' tab.
  4. Click on an Employee to expand their details.
  5. Select 'Payment Method' to view full payment method details.

Viewing Last 4 Digits of Account

  1. Log in to the web app as an Admin or Manager/Assistant Manager with the necessary permissions.
  2. Navigate to Team > click on an employee to expand their profile.
  3. Select the Wages and Payments tab.
  4. In the 'Payment' section, select 'Show banking details' to reveal last 4 digit of the employees payment account. 

Understanding Payment Method Status:

Employee payment methods for 7shifts payroll can display one of three status indicators, reflecting how the information was initially entered:

  • Status Unknown: 
    • Indicates payment method was migrated from a previous payroll system. 
    • These migrated payment methods did not undergo the standard connection verification process, but may be connected successfully. 
    • If you wish to see only the green 'connected' status under the employee bank account section, you will need to either:
      • a) Get the employee to update their DD details in their profile.
      • b) Send the employee an onboarding package that contains only the Payment Method form.
  • Pending: 
    • Indicates employee entered payment details in 7shifts. 
    • Account verification is still in progress. 
    • Payroll can still be processed for payment methods that are 'Pending.'
  • Completed: 
    • Indicates successful account verification and connection.
