Add An Entry
The Manager Log Book is a secure communication tool exclusively available to Admins, Managers, and Assistant Managers. It operates like a shared diary or journal in your 7shifts account, and serves as a written record to help your management team track business operations (i.e., performance reviews, challenges, achievements, future plans and other relevant information).

Things To Know
- This feature is exclusively available to Admins, Managers, and Assistant Managers.
- Employees cannot access or view the Manager Log Book.
- Managers and Assistant Managers can only view data for the Locations they are specifically assigned to.
- Drafts cannot be saved; you must post your entry before leaving the page to avoid losing progress.
Add an Entry
Follow the steps below to record daily business details or performance notes on your preferred device.
- Log in to the mobile app and tap the clipboard icon on the bottom menu bar.
- Scroll through the categories to view existing entries for the day.
- Tap a category to expand its details.
- Tap Create new entry or the + sign at the top right to add your note.
Caution: Ensure you post your message before exiting, as drafts are not supported.
- Log in to the web app and select the Log Book tab in the navigation bar.
- Use the filters to select the correct Date and Location.
- Enter the details for your chosen category. You may include an attachment up to 2MB.
- Click Add Entry immediately to post your information.
Next Steps
Once an entry is posted, other management team members can add comments to the thread to provide updates or feedback.
