Republish a Schedule
There may be times when you need to republish your 7shifts schedule to force an update. For example, if you forgot to select "Notify everyone" upon publish, if you’ve recently enabled a new setting that affects users on the schedule, or if you need to force a sync with your POS system.
How to Republish Your Schedule to Force an Update
What you'll be doing is making a small adjustment to your 7shifts schedule and then undoing the change to force an update. Use the tabs to change your viewing preferences through the mobile or web app:
- Log in to the mobile app as an Admin or Manager with permissions.
- Tap on the Schedule icon in the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap on a shift to expand shift details.
- Tap on the More options
icon > Edit Shift.
- Make a minor adjustment, such as changing the Date.
- Tap Save. The shift will now be in an unpublished state.
- Tap again on the More options
icon > Edit Shift.
- Return the shift details to its' original state. In this example, change the Date to its' original day.
- Tap Save.
- Tap the back arrow to return to the schedule.
- Tap Publish Schedule (1 shift) > Publish.
Here are two options:

Option 1
- Log in to the web app as an Admin or Manager with permissions.

In the left navigation bar, head to Schedule.
- Drag a published shift to another cell (e.g., move it to a different day).
- Drag the shift back to its original cell:
- Click Publish Changes to update the schedule.
Option 2
- Log in to the web app as an Admin or Manager with permissions.

In the left navigation bar, head to Schedule.
- Select a shift.
- Checkmark BD:
- Click Save.
- Select the same shift again.
- Uncheck BD.
- Click Save.
- Click Publish Changes.
