Onboarding for Admins

Released May 14 - Web

To enhance the payroll preparation process, Admins will now be able to send onboarding packages to other Admins and to themselves!

Square POS: Declared Tips

Released May 13 - Web

Accounts integrated with Square POS for time clocking can now sync declared tips from time punches. This means:

• Users with permissions can edit Tip Pools to include Declared Tips
• Declared tips from time punches via the Square integration are available in various 7shifts reports
• Actual Labor in 7shifts must be enabled

Tip Payouts Trial

May 16 - Web

Counting cash tips and ensuring there is enough on hand can cause unnecessary challenges at the end of a long day. With Tip Payouts, you can eliminate all the extra steps and digitally transfer earned tips directly to your employee's debit accounts! As this is an immediate transfer, you and your employees won't have to wait around on-site (or, for payroll) to receive their tips.

The Tip Dashboard is now the Tip Overview! As part of our commitment to maintaining quality improvements, we have moved The Tip Overview to the left side of your screen, under Tip Management. This navigation change was designed to make the Tip Overview more easily accessible.

The Mobile Dashboard is getting a new look!

This Dashboard Who's Working section is undergoing some changes! This new experience was developed to improve visibility, increase efficiency, and make additional features more easily accessible. In the coming weeks, this experience will be slowly rolling out to our users. Please ensure that your app is updated with the latest version.

SMS Notifications

As of May 29, 2024, 7shifts will be discontinuing several SMS notifications. Going forward, SMS notifications will be limited to:

• Two-factor authentication
• Welcome invite
• Schedule published
• Schedule updates
• Changes to shifts (shift pool approvals, and shift trade approvals)

You can find a full list of the SMS notification changes here. The purpose of this change is to improve your 7shifts experience and provide a more reliable way to stay connected (pssst- this includes future updates with a Notifications Center!).

While SMS notifications will be removed, you can continue to receive mobile notifications through push notifications (recommended) or email.

We kindly ask that you review your current notification settings and that you remind your team to enable push notifications.  They're instant, reliable, and will ensure you never miss an important update.
