Time Clocking

The Time Clocking page is getting a new look! This new experience was developed to improve visibility, increase efficiency, and make additional features more easily accessible.



Want to revert to the original experience? As we transition to the new changes, you can temporarily revert your view by clicking on Card View :

These new experiences have been rolled out to all our users. You can expect to see the Time Clocking changes taking place in your Account and our Knowledge Base.

7shifts Payroll: Off-cycle Pay Periods

Mar 6 - Web

We're excited to share a few enhancements to 7shifts Payroll that allow for flexibility and efficiency when managing an off-cycle payroll: 

  • Two distinct options when creating off-cycle payrolls: manual entry, or sync timesheets and tips (earnings and time off are automatically pulled in!).

  • Submit payroll before 5 PM CST to print paper checks and pay your team on the same day.

  • Next-day rush gives admins the flexibility to pay employees promptly; this option is only available for Accounts approved for a two-day turnaround.

Get ready for a more intuitive design as you create and edit shifts! In the coming weeks, our mobile app will be rolling out a fresh new experience. This update is all about enhancing your usability and making your scheduling experience smoother than before. During this time, please update your mobile app so that you're running the latest version available: 2024.12.0.

Switching Roles on 7punches

Mar 27 - Web & Mobile

In the coming weeks, 7punches will introduce the ability for Employees to switch roles from their initially scheduled shift. The aim is to minimize the errors and the need for edits when Employees clock in for a shift that they may not ultimately work for the day. This provides greater flexibility for your team in managing time punches.

Admins can access this option through a new setting in their Time Clocking settings: Allow switching roles with shift scheduled.

Managing Inactive Employees: Reactivation

Mar 28 - Web 

In our commitment to maintaining regulatory standards and ensuring compliance, we've introduced a new step in the Employee reactivation process.

When an Employee is reactivated in 7shifts and has multiple Accounts associated with their e-mail, they must accept an account reactivation invite before their profile becomes active again. Providing an additional layer of verification also ensures that the correct profile owner regains access to their account.
